PRECARE
Instructions to be followed prior to your appointment:
NO alcohol 24 hours prior
NO caffeine 12 hours prior
NO Retin-A/Retinol, Salicylic acid, AHA, or harsh exfoliants 7 days prior
NO antibiotics 2 weeks prior
NO Botox, fillers, injections, microdermabrasion, or facials of any sort 2 weeks before and after
NO blood thinners 5 days prior and 24 hours after (this includes: Aspirin, Coumadin, Plavix, Warfarin, Eliquis, Vitamin E supplements, fish oil, niacin, etc.)
NO Midol, Excedrin, or NSAIDs (ibuprofen, Advil, Aleve, Motrin, etc.) 48 hours prior
MUST be out of active chemotherapy/radiation for 6 months
MUST be off steroids for 6 months
MUST be off Accutane for 6 months
MUST not be pregnant or breastfeeding
AVOID tanning/sun exposure 2 weeks prior
AVOID shaping, waxing, and threading at least 10 days prior
Do NOT come to your appointment with dyed, henna, or tinted brows
Brow laminations soften your natural hairs. If you do not want this look done then please refrain from getting a lamination done 4 weeks prior
NO previous tattoo work (regardless of how long ago it was) UNLESS a clear and makeup-less photo has been provided to Elevate Brow Bar prior to appointment via text or email and artist has approved
AFTERCARE
Instructions to be followed after your appointment:
Twice a day for 10 days, with clean fingers, gently wash brows with 1-2 pumps of the Aftercare Soap. Clean in a wiping motion towards ear. NO scrubbing or circular motions. Rinse with cool water and pat dry. Immediately after, apply a small amount of the Aftercare Balm directly to brows.
FOR THE NEXT 10 DAYS:
DO NOT wet your brows outside of instructions listed above
DO NOT apply makeup on brows
DO NOT apply creams, Retinols, or Retin-A to brows or brow area
DO NOT sleep on your face
DO NOT pick at brow area or scabs as they are healing!
NO sweaty exercise, pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, or swimming
NO laser, peels, microdermabrasion, or facials for 30 days. Wait a minimum of 2 weeks for Botox/injections around the area. Wait 2 weeks to resume any method of eyebrow hair removal. Wait 4 weeks for brow laminations.
AVOID direct sun exposure
Facial cleansers that exfoliate or contain acids (AHA, lactic, glycolic) will cause fading
Use sunscreen on brows after 10 days post treatment to protect brows from fading
